From Phone Call to “12 out of 10” Team Event
It all began with a phone call in January. Our lovely client from New Plymouth reached out with an enquiry to run a breakout session as part of a full-day strategy event. They were looking for something fun and interactive to break up the presentations—and Social Cooking was the perfect fit.
While we usually require a minimum group size for offsite events, we didn’t hesitate for a second. She had a venue recommendation, and we were excited about the opportunity to drive down to New Plymouth for our very first offsite there.
The stars aligned… until COVID caused the event to be postponed. But we were determined to make it happen—and we did.
Finally, in May 2025, we found ourselves in gorgeous Taranaki, meeting our client in person for the first time and running an unforgettable event for her group.
And the verdict?
“12/10! I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this as much as I did—but it was awesome.”
