Staff still WFH? How about a hybrid event?!

As we move into a new phase of the pandemic, workplaces are moving to a hybrid work model. Some staff WFH, some work in the office, some are a combination of both. So we’ve joined the hybrid trend, with a new hybrid event.

We introduced Digital events in 2020, which have proven popular with our guests. Many clients still prefer to bring their teams together in person at our premises in Auckland. Then a few weeks ago we had a request to host a team building experience that combined the two – some attending in person, some joining remotely via Zoom.

We recommended Recipe challenge, with guests cooking the same recipe onsite and virtually. Groceries were delivered to virtual participants so everyone could create a delicious Malaysian Chicken Laksa. Onsite, the kitchen filled in with the aroma from the Asian spices, while online, our virtual attendees were having their own humorous catch up in the chatroom.

A little bit of competition never goes wrong during a team event. Our virtual attendees competed for Best Presentation, and they knocked it out of the park! The hybrid event ticked all the boxes making it another successful event.

Special shout out to the amazing team from Total Rentals. They took all the technical hassle away and we could run a 3 hour event without any glitch.

  • Deliver an inclusive event for a group of 40+pax, both onsite and virtual combined
  • Team event within client’s budget
  • High quality AV set up
  • Team engagement, bonding, delicious meal and a memorable experience
  • Client satisfaction

Finally, a thankyou note like below is all it takes to make our day at work.

“We had an absolute blast cooking with you yesterday. I’ve had lots of feedback from the team who had a lot of fun – cooking, eating, drinking and catching up with teammates.

Special thanks to chef – just fantastic engaging with the virtual team as well as us at the venue. We loved her energy. Thanks to the rest of your fabulous team for looking after us (and doing the washing up!). Appreciate your effort in our requests and last-minute changes too!”
