Chocolate Brownie

If you’ve been to Social Cooking, you’ll know that we often serve dessert as a thank you for your custom and your hard work!

In recent months, that dessert is our homemade, decadent chocolate brownie, often served with whipped cream, and fresh berries or berry coulis. And the number of requests we’ve had for the recipe for said brownie has been overwhelming!

So here you are. The recipe for our famous (at Social Cooking) decadent chocolate brownie. And for your information, this is served at all our three hour events – Masterchef, Mystery Box Challenge, and our Recipe Challenge.

Social Cooking’s Decadent Chocolate Brownie

70g cocoa powder
440g brown sugar
1tsp baking powder
100g plain flour
½ tsp sea salt
230g butter

1Tbsp vanilla extract
200g dark chocolate, roughly chopped

Method

Preheat the oven to 160⁰C. Grease and line a 30cm x 20cm slice tin.
Sift together cocoa powder, brown sugar baking powder, and flour. Set aside.
Melt together butter and sea salt. Cool slightly, then add to the dry mix with the eggs, vanilla extract, and chopped chocolate. Pour mix into a lined tin and bake for 1 hour or until set. Remove from the oven and leave in the tin to cool for at least 15 minutes before removing.
