I wouldn’t say I was born to be a chef, I was a fussy child so my parents were gobsmacked when I went to culinary school. I loved it from day one and went on to work in Hotels, catering and cafes around Wellington for over 20 years. I worked at the likes of the Governors Kitchen at the Reserve Bank, Catering Manager for a large Insurance company, as a Baker for the Ministry of Food and owned a Pasta Cafe. For the past 15 years my passion has been Nutrition and cooking for people with special dietary requirements, teaching about healthy eating and whole foods – working with diverse nutrition styles such as Paleo, Primal, Weston A Price diets, Raw food and gluten and grain free diets.

I love working at Social Cooking, helping teach people how easy it is to create a stunning, healthy dish from simple ingredients that can easily be recreated at home to impress their friends and family and to have a fantastic night out while they’re doing it!
